Troubleshooting: Disc Stakka hardware

What does it mean if my Disc Stakka CD & DVD Manager LED is flashing or not lit?

The LED (light) next to the Disc Stakka gate confirms the unit's operation status:

If the LED is on

This is the default state. It means that the OpdiTracker software is running and the Disc Stakka is ready.

If the LED is off

This means that the Disc Stakka is not ready. Check the following to determine where the problem lies:

  • Make sure the Disc Stakka is properly plugged in.
Check that the USB cable is firmly inserted into both the host computer (either directly or through a USB hub) as well as into the Disc Stakka.

  • Make sure the computer is turned on and active.
If your computer is asleep, shut down, or otherwise not accepting data input, your Disc Stakka will be inactive.

  • Make sure the OpdiTracker software is running.
    Open the OpdiTracker application window.

  • Make sure the unit is recognized by the OpdiTracker software.
In Windows Explorer or the OpdiTracker application window, make sure the unit is displayed in the list and not grayed out.
    • If the unit is shown as active, it may have a faulty LED. Unplug the USB cable from the unit, and then reconnect it to reinitialize the unit.

    • If the unit is not visible or is grayed out, the USB port may not be working. Test the USB port by connecting another USB device to it (such as a mouse or keyboard), or try connecting the unit to a different USB port (either a powered hub or directly to the computer).

      • If the USB port is faulty, refer to the operating system's troubleshooting tools or contact the supplier of your system.
      • If the USB port is not faulty, you may have a faulty Disc Stakka unit. Contact the place of purchase to arrange to have the unit tested, repaired, or replaced under warranty.

If the LED is flashing

  • The LED flashes slowly (e.g. on one second, off one second)
The Disc Stakka unit is busy or full. Allow time for the current operation to complete. If the LED continues to flash, the Disc Stakka is full.
  • The LED flashes quickly (e.g. on half a second, off half a second)
There is a Disc Stakka error. View the error details to determine what action to take.
  • The LED flashes intermittently (e.g. on two seconds, off half a second)
The Disc Stakka is properly connected but the OpdiTracker software is not running.
