Why are the pages of the report I am trying to print coming out incorrectly?
Check the print settings within OpdiTracker. The settings or print options button will be located on the same screen as the Print button. Verify that you can print from other applications. Also check the print settings through the Windows Start menu (click Settings, Printers).
Why is the Verify Unit option shadowed out in the OpdiTracker menu?
This option is disabled for units that are not currently communicating with the OpdiTracker software (e.g. those that are disconnected, or have lost USB connectivity for some reason).
Can I transport a unit with discs loaded in it?
Yes you can, although you need to show some discretion. Commercial carriers, such as airlines and couriers, can sometimes be overly enthusiastic in their handling. This handling is unlikely to damage the unit, but may be sufficient to damage the discs inside.
Can I protect discs by user or group profiles? Is this integrated into Windows security or will I have to set up separate groups?
In the Pro edition, you can password protect access at the disc, unit or system level. Additionally, each of these levels has a Security tab just like Windows where you can set access levels.
How do I shut down the OpdiTracker software in Windows?
Right-click the OpdiTracker icon in the System Tray (on the lower right side of the screen). Select Close to shut down the application. OpdiTracker can be restarted from the Programs menu, or it will restart automatically the next time you log on.
How do I start the OpdiTracker application for Windows?
OpdiTracker starts each time the system is logged on or rebooted. You can also start OpdiTracker manually in the following ways:
- From Windows Explorer, navigate to OpdiTracker, and then choose Start in response to the prompt saying that "The OpdiTracker application has not been initialized".
- From the Windows Start button, select Programs, OpdiTracker, Start OpdiTracker.
How do I stop the OpdiTracker software from starting automatically each time I log on to Windows?
OpdiTracker restarts each time the system is logged on or rebooted because there is an entry in the Windows "Startup" group. Remove the icon for the shortcut to stop this from happening. The specific location will differ depending on which Windows operating system you are using.
